A calling to commitment - YMG january update
This month set the tone for the year ahead—a renewed commitment to conform our minds and hearts to Christ, and a willingness to remember and respond to God’s calling in each of our lives. Through a retreat that reignited zeal and passion, we deepened our relationship with God. We also shared in a bittersweet farewell to a faithful brother discerning the priesthood, and celebrated a leader’s commitment to the vocation of marriage.

Many of the men in YMG kickstarted their year by attending the Summer School of Evangelisation. It was an incredible week filled with an abundance of opportunities to encounter Christ whether it be through morning adoration, the reciting of the Divine Office, energetic praise sessions, daily Mass, powerful and spiritually enriching talks, fellowship amongst others across Australia. Each day brought about a new theme and with it the opportunity to delve deeper into understanding the immensity of God’s love, his plan for us and the mission we all have to be commissioned for our mission of spreading the GOOD NEWS.
It was incredible to see the faith of the YMG brotherhood grow through interactions with others, a willingness to help out whenever possible or through a deep and personal encounter with the power of the Holy Spirit. Here are some of the valuable testimonies of the YMG men who attended the retreat.

Summer school, to put it bluntly, was a fulfilling experience. I would say an even better experience the second time around by having my YMG Brotherhood alongside. The Holy Spirit is truly alive in us all, and we ought to be willing to humble ourselves, surrender, and allow Him to work in us. It was an awesome opportunity to recommit ourselves to Christ!
🙌A farewell & a feast for Fabio🥳
📅 January 23rd & 25th 2026
It’s a bittersweet feeling as our faithful friend and fellow YMG Member, Fabio, will embark on a journey of discernment as he heads to Canberra to join the Missionaries of God’s Love. To celebrate His courage to answer God’s call, many of the YMG men gathered together to feast for our faithful friend! The night was met with cheerful laughter and showed our strong brotherhood.
His presence will be deeply missed, yet the impact he has provided will remain forever.
Please pray for Him and his family, for steadfastness, obedience, and faithfulness as he continues to discern God’s call for Him.
Don’t ever change Fabio. Continue to be a light in a world that is often so filled with darkness. May you continue to always remain devoted to Christ, showcase His uplifting nature, and continue to be obedient to what it is God is asking of you.
💍Jaidan’s engagement party

The celebrations continue as we celebrate the engagement of one of our YMG South Leaders, Jaidan. It was a beautiful and warm celebration spent with all their family and friends. It is beautiful to see Jaidan answer the call to marriage, a call to guide and provide for his wife and future family.
May you continue to keep him in your prayers and his fiance Chayanna, as well as their families, especially as they both prepare for their wedding this year.
